PDF editions

The Settings → PDF editions screen sets the branding and mentions carried by the documents the application produces: electronic invoice, component lifecycle record, and the editions to come.

These settings belong to your instance: each organisation carries its own identity.

What you set

  • Issuing organisation — the name shown on the editions: “issuing authority” box of the lifecycle record, page footer. It does not replace the legal name used for invoicing (SIRET, VAT), which is set in the instance settings.
  • Logo — a PNG or JPEG image. SVG is not accepted: the engine that builds the PDFs cannot embed it. The height is set in points (rule of thumb: 22 points ≈ 8 mm).
  • Colours — the text colour and the accent colour (block headings). Left empty, editions use the Envergure palette. The other shades — rules, table backgrounds — are derived automatically: there are not ten settings to keep consistent with one another.
  • Footer mentions — approval number, contact details, required mentions, in French and English.

The preview

The Preview button opens a sample invoice rendered with your settings. It exists because a real invoice cannot serve as a test: issuing one assigns a legal number and cannot be undone.

The preview uses the saved settings: save before previewing.

What cannot be changed here

The layout. The lifecycle record reproduces the EMAR/FR Form 1: it is prescribed by the authority, and making it editable would be a compliance risk, not a service.

Likewise, an invoice’s electronic file (the XML) does not depend on these settings: it is the authoritative artifact and its content is standardised. These settings only affect the readable PDF.

If you set nothing

Editions come out with the product defaults. No setting is mandatory, and clearing a field returns it to its default.
